A mini reunion

My friend Hollie is having a cute little baby boy soon. She had a baby shower a couple weeks ago. It was fun to see some friends I haven't seen in a long time.

Speaking of cute little babies, I love being a mom. I feel so thankful I get to be Caleb & Brynli's mommy! Brynli comes over to me and wraps her arms around me and says in the cutest little voice with so much love "Mommy!" I need to record her saying mommy, it's so cute!

A couple weeks ago we had a really neat experience. One night Caleb was begging me to take him to the library. This was pretty unusual because it was night and he doesn't typically beg me to go to the library like this. Not that he doesn't enjoy going to the library - he does. It's just a little hard with my vocal, speedy girl. When she was a little younger I took them to the library. I set her down for a few seconds . . . literally - and when I looked up she had run all the way over to the door and was about to run out of the library through the automatic door. Mind you we were nowhere near the door when I set her down. I bolted over there, luckily I'm still faster than she is I guess. Anyway, it doesn't make for a leisurely library visit.

Caleb was so persistent, I decided it would be fine to take him to the library that night and get him something. Mark stayed home and put Brynli to sleep and I took Caleb. We got Caleb some stuff and just as I was about to leave a DVD on birth jumped out at me. It's called The Business of Being Born. I grabbed it and checked that out too. I had no idea that Caleb wanting to go to the library one night would influence me so much. I watched the DVD that night. It was very impactful for me. That night as I was writing about it in my journal the Spirit let me know that Caleb was prompted to go the library. It was a neat feeling for me to know that.

Please take action on this!!!

On Monday I had a prompting to turn on our TV. I never really watch TV because I do not like, actually I hate the filth on TV, and I just don't like the feeling I have when the TV is on a lot. I turned the channel to Oprah. She was doing a show about sexual predators and some of the things going on. I wasn't sure whether to watch that because if I watch or hear things like that it breaks my heart and I feel an intense pain. Sometimes I may start to feel depressed and so much sorrow for the pain these little children are experiencing that it's unbearable. But, the Spirit let me know I needed to watch it. It's awful what's happening.
Right now they are trying to get a bill passed that will provide the much needed funding to track down these predators. It's called The Protect Our Children Act - Bill 1738. I'm asking everyone to contact your senators and ask them to vote yes for this. You can e-mail, send a letter, call, etc. On Oprah's website they gave a letter you could copy and paste. You can also add to it if you want. The link is http://www.oprah.com/article/oprahshow/20080911_tows_predators
It explains everything there of how to find your Senator's info, etc. Please take action on this immediately. The bill is being brought up soon.

My birthday

I had a great birthday. I really appreciated all of the gifts, phone calls, and e-mails! I got to go swimming and relax on my birthday while my family watched my kids. My sister washed my car for me while I went swimming - so nice! Mark took me on a date, which is what I wanted. We don't go on dates as much as I would like. It was so fun and I'm so thankful my parents and my sister could watch Caleb & Brynli while we went out.
I took Faith out to lunch for her/our birthdays. Faith is so much fun and I love hanging out with her.

Thanksgiving Point

I took Caleb & Brynli to Thanksgiving Point last week. We walked through the gardens and played at the Children's discovery garden. The gardens were absolutely beautiful. I loved it.

They have a waterfall garden that is amazing. This was one of my favorite gardens because I love water so much.

This is in the secret garden. It looks just like the secret garden.
Caleb and Brynli loved the fish. There was a walkway with pretty tall walls with these dark "windows" that you could see all the fish swimming around. It was really cool.
