Coronado

Well we are all moved in! - or moved over at least. It's been a hard and stressful time lately for multiple reasons. I'm thankful that moving is out of the way now.
We finished moving our stuff over very late Monday night. The next night Brynli threw up and was sick the next day. Then she wet her bed the next night, which she doesn't normally do. It's been a little disorienting for her. Caleb remembers the last time we moved, so he kind of knew what what to expect, but Brynli was very upset when they started taking her bed out of our old house. She worriedly told me she wanted to take her babies. I had to keep reassuring them we were taking everything with us. I'm just glad that they both have really liked it here. On the way home from somewhere Brynli told me she didn't want to go home - she wanted to go to our new house. So that's good at least.
I'm glad that we're close enough that they can still play with their little friends. It will take a little more planning - they use to be able to just run to each other's houses - but we're close enough to make it work. But it sounds like Caleb's little friend is having Caleb withdrawals right now - especially since they didn't get to play together this week because we were a little sick and trying to unpack.
Anyway, I am so grateful we got this house. We love it and it is such a blessing for us! It's so exciting to me to finally really start to make a place our own.

Here's some of the pictures from our fun California trip we took this Summer!

Coronado Beach

It was Caleb & Brynli's first time playing at a beach.
They loved it! We mostly spent the first couple of days playing on the beach. This is Caleb "surfing". That was one of his favorite things to do was to surf on the water.

San Diego Zoo

San Diego Zoo
We packed up our stuff from Coronado and spent a day at the San Diego Zoo.
This turtle came right up to Brynli. She thought it was pretty fun.

My cuties

Someone volunteered to take a family picture for us, which was nice. Too bad Brynli did not want her picture taken that day. She was pretty tired after a while. It was a really really good thing we had strollers with us. I don't think they even would have made it through the parking lot. It is a huge zoo. The only problem was every time we got to a new animal she had to get out of the stroller to see the animals and then I had to try and get her back in, which she didn't always want to cooperate with. She wanted to push the stroller, but there were too many people for her to do that. It got a little tiring, but it was still worth it.

Ha ha. So cute. This polar bear was pretty fun to watch.
I thought this was pretty sweet.

The real wild animals
and for my favorite. . .

These rides were actually probably Caleb and Brynli's favorite part. ha ha

Brynli never really does this. It was pretty sweet. We took the bus ride at the end of our trip and Brynli just fell right to sleep. She was so tired.

Out of the blue this elephant just started jammin out. It was so awesome. Do they make iPods for elephants now?

Oceanside

And for one of the best parts of our trip. . .

My brother and his family's vacation overlapped with ours so we got to stay a couple nights with them at the beach house they rented. It was SO fun!
I got to go running on the beach with my nephew in the morning - always wanted to do that (I actually did that on the Coronado beach too, which was amazing. There were so many people out running, it was pretty fun.) Then Mark and my nephew came back to the beach to try surfing. . . and my nephew got stung on his foot by a sting ray. . . seriously. He was in a lot of pain for a while. But we learned that you put it in as hot of water as you can stand - that seemed to help a lot. So, while he was soaking his foot for a couple hours, Mark and I played games with him. I think we played Puerto Rico - one of the best games.

Then we all headed over to the beach and boogie boarded and Mark and my nephew tried surfing again. I eventually tried it a couple times, but I was too tired so I only tried for a minute. Plus my arms were so tired from a body sculpting class I did at the Coronado gym - I found out they work you hard there. So me and Emily and everyone had fun hanging out on the beach and boogie boarding. I love boogie boarding and I haven't been for a really long time. And someday when I'm not pregnant I want to learn to surf.

Caleb and the other boys loved using the boogie boards as their "surf" boards. They stood on the boards on the shore line and when the waves would come in it moved them a little. . . or sometimes a lot. Caleb wiped out once pretty good. They had a blast. Brynli loved playing in the water and in the sand.

Caleb really likes binoculars. I think it's because they use them in primary. He was pretty excited when he found some in the beach toys.

Caleb having fun with all his boy cousins.Oh yeah.
Thank you so much for letting us come vacation with you. We loved it!

Any advice?

I will hopefully eventually get to all of my July posts. ha ha There is a lot going on around here. One of the biggest is we are moving in about a week!! Anyone who was wondering about the house we put an offer on. . . a really long time ago. . . we got it! So, I'm wondering if anyone has any great advice on where to buy things like a fridge and furniture. Any experience or insights would be helpful!
